Supervised Agricultural Experience
An agricultural education program is made up of three integrated parts: Classroom instruction, FFA and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).

Students with and SAE learn by doing. With help from their agricultural teachers, students develop and SAE project based on one or more SAE categories: 
is a hands-on learning opportunity.

SAE: Beef Production

Shelby has assisted on her families beef farm her entire life. Some of her responsibilities include daily chores and operations such as feeding, checking cows are maintaining pens. Shelby exhibits her livestock at the Buchanan County Fair and enjoys helping with her family's bull sale each year.

SAE: Horticultural Production

Haylee has helped to plan and take care of her family garden. She has set many goals that have included updating the landscaping around her home and making improvements to the garden. Haylee enjoys assisting in growing foods that her family can enjoy, and it is a great way to be outside and work hard.
